Derek Johnson (Formally performing under the stage-name "Derek Curtis") is a New England based folk/americana artist with a unique and intimate sound. Derek cut his teeth in the Nashville scene for 7 years, but has recently moved back up to the Northeast to perform in the New England area. In his time in Nashville, Derek recorded 2 full length albums as well as performed at iconic Nashville Venues such as the Bluebird and the 5 Spot. Not only has he set roots playing in Nashville at iconic clubs, but he toured through the Midwest, the East Coast, and throughout Ontario and Western Canada as well. His lyrics and melodic guitar playing brings a blend of Folk, Bluegrass, and Country songwriting for those who want to take a step back and connect to this young man’s thoughts and storytelling.
